"Planet earth is blue and I don't know what to do..."

It's great if you've discovered how having your staff utilize mobile apps for business on their iPhone, Android or BlackBerry devices can make your business more productive and therefore more profitable. But don't forget to consider ease of integration when you choose which applications to use. Easy integration with your existing business systems is crucial. Failing to include that in your evaluation of business app alternatives could result in losing all the productivity you gained with the mobile app, due to the inefficient transfer of information to your systems. See this article in the Capterra Expert Advice Library for a  more detailed discussion on this topic. Avoid having your valuable business information "floating in space" without contact with "ground control."

Check out TechGeec's sleek YouTube video review of ABUKAI Expenses

David Rocklin, Founder of "TechGeec.com" and "YouTube" Technology reviewer takes ABUKAI Expenses out for a spin and likes what he sees! David's video is excellent in detail and production value so it gives you a great look at how easy ABUKAI Expenses is to set up and use. Check out the video for an up-close look.

We're ecstatic about TechGeec's review! However, we would also like to make a couple of comments to clarify some facts about the commentary. First, ABUKAI is really pronounced a little differently...more like "Ah-Boo-Kai" with the accent on the first syllable. Second, although David is correct that the information is read from the receipt images using sophisticated algorithms and other technologies, there is an optional quality review that can happen in case something doesn't get recognized. This is mainly to address specific issues such as providing support for customers or managing quality.

If you haven't seen ABUKAI Expenses in action, see David's review. Then download the application and try it yourself. Let us know what you think!

ABUKAI Flies High in Asia Pac!

The market for smart phones is very much on the rise in Australia and the rest of the Asia Pacific region. And with that trend, the need and use of mobile applications and productivity services like ABUKAI Expenses is similarly growing…in many cases, outpacing countries elsewhere around the globe. To address the needs of this burgeoning market, ABUKAI is fortunate to have Phil Kemper, our sales director for Asia Pacific headquarted in Australia.

A veteran of technology sales, Phil also is also a veteran of  over 550 skydives and has spent about 7 hours in various wind-tunnels across the world. This is the equivalent of approximately 700 skydives. An accomplished skydiving instructor, Phil teaches people who have never before jumped out of an airplane to ‘voluntarily’ step out of a plane at 14,000 feet, have a controlled flight in the air and parachute to a safe landing. He says this is great fun and very rewarding!

So whether you need ABUKAI Expenses here on the ground, or up in the air, Phil, and ABUKAI have you covered!

How long does it to take to build a business empire?

A few weeks ago, I was at a reception for Vistage CEO award nominees, discussing the current business landscape with top CEOs of mid-sized companies from various industries. Many of the companies have been around for decades and are family-owned. Some achieved tremendous growth through the downturn, but took decades to establish a sizable business.

In the technology space, things can move faster. It took Novell only 3 years to hit $50M in revenues. However, that's the rare exception. It took Salesforce.com 5 years, Intuit 8 years and Oracle 10 years... and those are the exceptional success stories we hear about. WSJ has an interesting article based on research by Tableau that gives more details (Pat Hanrahan, a former advisor of mine from my Stanford days, is involved in this company).

At ABUKAI, we have been making tremendous progress in a short-period. We just released a range of advanced features based on feedback from enterprise customers. And I'm extremely proud of how quickly our team responded to customers. Check out some of the customer feedback on ABUKAI Expenses so far.
