5 Reasons Why CIOs Can't Ignore Consumerization of IT
This article in CIO Magazine online by Paul D'Arcy, Executive Director, Americas Marketing, Dell Large Enterprise, is an excellent distillation of key facts contributing to the emergence and significance of Consumerism in IT. What this also means is that continued growth of the mobile workforce, plus rapid proliferation of mobile devices equals the need to look for easily deployable mobile IT solutions instead of conventional "headquarters-centric" systems. Or, at the very least, more device-agnostic mobile applications services that can interface with incumbent IT systems.
